Past Strength

Am I a stronghold or an attraction, only you can decide?
I feel no longer you need me at your side,
Many centuries have passed and times have changed,
All the castle rooms have now been re-arranged,
I was built for protection but now we face less aggression,
Now I feel I am just a possession,
I see you beneath the woods, looking up at me,
Here I am now, just a tourist sightsee,
If only I was my former glory, you would all gasp and wonder at my story,
Battlements, men and even Kings stayed in my territory,
I do miss protecting my town, no longer am I needed, I must relinquish my crown
