NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Illustration description: A Cloudy background, divided into 3 vertical sections. Sunset pink, gold, and peach on the left, blending to moody blue-grey in the middle, lightening to lighter silver and white on the right. In the middle of the page appears a misty shape that might have been a disk, but is now dissolving into a wispy, melting cloud. The lower edges show signs of ridges, and the colours are warm browns. A beveled, transparent, circular shape with a lacy pattern emanating inward from the edges frames the melting form, brown wisps escaping just off the left side of the frame. On the left side of the image are the words of the haiku in golden Trajan Colour font, oriented sideways to the central image. The same lettering appears mirrored on the right side of the image.
