Proof by Contradiction

Proof by Contradiction

written by: Rhia Morley

“I suppose a personality is a collection of flaws and survival techniques.”

Debating the existence of mine again, I proposed the statement.

Error One (so soon I know) –
If this were to be true then why value laughter?
Why do I strive to entertain: where is my fear of failure if not absent for love?

Error Two –
Taking photos, listening to music alone… what flaws are these? ‘Talking Heads’ surely has no clear moral stance,
I await patiently for when capturing sentimentality earns me a jury.

Error Three –
Pretentioness, consciousness: the very origins of my proposals. Certain to be wrong is no way to survive.

To conclude, supposition rejected due to contradictory evidence. QED.
