Resilience

in the quiet hours, when shadows fall,
a heart trembles, burdened by it all,
the world, a weight, too heavy to bear,
and whispers of despair fill the air.

beneath the veil of endless night,
where hope seems dim and dreams take flight,
a soul grapples with the final plea,
to end the struggle, to cease to be.

each thought, a ghost, each breath, a pain,
in a storm where love seems in vain,
a shattered mirror of fractured trust,
reflects the loss, the endless dust.

the emptiness, a void so wide,
where echoes of anguish quietly bide,
and in the silence, a plea so dire,
For solace, for peace, to quench the fire.

yet even in the darkest breath,
where shadows whisper of their death,
a flicker, faint, yet fiercely true,
reminds you of what you still can do.

for in the depths of sorrow’s clasp,
a trembling hand can still unclasp,
and reach for moments, faint but real,
to touch the warmth, to feel, to heal.

so, though the heart may shatter, frail,
and dreams of ending start to prevail,
remember, in the starkest night,
there lies a glimmer, a distant light.

and if you waver, lost and torn,
know that dawn can come, reborn,
through tears and pain, a path can weave,
a testament to those who grieve.
