Sandstorm

Sandstorm

written by: Becca Lotus

The sandstorm ripped through the desert
Wild creatures scattering to deep shelters
Cactus blooms waving to their familiar friend
Petals flying over succulents
Shrubs loosening their grip
Undulating bands of orange, brown and gold
Specks filling the sky
Glinting in the sun
Landing and resettling
Peace once more
