Silenced Screams

Silenced Screams

written by: Insha Khan

I will despise you till my death
Until I lose my breath
That day, when I lay in a pool of blood
Till all those memories in your mind flood
I promise to erase all the clues.
Remember, you said I was of no use

And someday, when you will finally realise
You will already be witnessing my demise
You will say you still care
How can you even dare

It pinches my soul still
I was the one left hanging from the hill
Fake smiles and broken dreams
Unkept promises and suppressed screams

So what’s the point of your grief
Oh! You are still in disbelief
So this is for you with venomous words that cut like a knife
No comfort, no grief, just endless strife.
