Somewhere

Somewhere

written by: Bhakta Bahadur Basnet

Within the rhythm of your song,
On cliff edges and rugged ridges,
I bloom… somewhere…

In the meadow of enchantment,
On wings of boundless imagination,
I wander… somewhere…

Among the stars,
Embracing drifting clouds,
Kissing the silver moonlight,
Through the walls of your heart,
Stealing the hues of flowers,
Adorning your lips,
Upon your gaze,
I lose myself… somewhere…

You are nectar, I am water,
I am the wanderer, you the queen
Of this secret colony.
Beneath the veil of petals,
Amid your soft, intoxicating fragrance,
I dissolve… within you… somewhere…

That cloud, that distant thunder,
Motion, passion, and quiet surrender,
Struggle, union, and ecstatic heights,
Deep lingering breaths and tender tremors,
Along with the rainbow after the rain,
I unfold… somewhere…
