Starved Verses
written by: Beth Tremaglio

Thoughts as
rags
of constant
wearing
hollows
imaginations,
laying shadows
against skies
barren.
Loned by irregular
heartbeats,
maddened by a
changing
rhyme.
I close my eyes
to see
within,
so the poet may
find
a verse,
a single verse
shrouded
of scars,
that poetry may
begin
bleeding through,
and night may find
new
dawns.
NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:
I would like to take a moment to thank those who read this piece.
If you read the poem all the way through, then go back and read only the words separated (singled out), these words tell more of the story, they the words starved for more verse.
