Strange Days

These are strange days
with the Arctic ablaze
while Londoners sunbathe
in the North African heat
those two words unsaid
yet on everyone’s lips
presaging the apocalypse.

Born and raised in Cardiff, Wales, Ian has an MA in English from Oxford University. He lives in Taiwan with his wife, two daughters and cat. He teaches English in a high school.
