running
past a field
of high-voltage
lines
cardiac arrest
ear buds
lying
on the asphalt
a song
to the sky
birds above
hundreds
fly
in a pattern
through
over
under, avoiding
the currents
of electricity
gracefully dodging
the linear
blights in their
path
they took
no notice
of the jogger
nor
he
them
