The Night and The Kiss

The Night and The Kiss

written by: Henry Bladon

I stumble through fields of colour
for a breath on the edge of the grass
a glimpse and the sound
of a secret that shines
with the night and the kiss
and dreams not far away.

Supplicating strength as I warm to your lips
I have the knowledge that time
will find the two of us crowned
always trapped in the hope
of the night and the kiss
and dreams not far away.

And yet how golden we touch
despite a fear of the end
our clutch cannot fail
so we are ready to see
the night and the kiss
and dreams not far away.
