The Ride to Heaven

Beneath the weight of endless sky,
he rode with reckless hope,
chasing the horizon’s elusive promise.
The engine’s roar was his defiance,
a symphony of freedom and fleeting youth,
until the ground reached up too fast,
and time fractured in an instant.
Now, his absence drapes over everything—
a quiet ache that no words can mend,
a void carved into the fabric of days.
His mother’s tears fall like rain,
filling the silence with memories too sharp to bear,
each one a reminder of what was lost—
a life cut too short, a future unraveled.
His friends carry the weight of unspoken goodbyes,
the weight of knowing some wounds never heal.
And in the stillness that follows,
the world feels hollow,
haunted by the ghost of what could have been,
a silent echo of a young man’s fleeting flame.
