The Vama Sunrise

The Vama Sunrise

(Euforia)

written by: Rob Carter

I watched you breathe the salt-thick air
Beneath the Vama moon so pale,
With silver starlight in your hair
And secrets that the winds exhale.
I find you fascinating still,
A book with pages left to turn,
A quiet strength, a steady will,
A lesson I am glad to learn.

You spoke in rhythms not my own,
With quirks and flaws I’ve come to prize,
A beauty that is yours alone
Reflected in your tired eyes.
I love the way you’re strangely made,
The shadows and the sudden light,
A masterpiece that will not fade
Within the Romanian night.

For in the silence of the street,
And in the “bitter wine” we shared,
You made my journey feel complete
Because you saw, and because you cared.
In you I find euphoria,
A grace I never knew before,
From Costinești to Gloria—
Who could ever want for more?
