The World is One

The World is One

Where does the wind go,
it howls wrapping,
itself around my house.
I hear its singing,
sadness in its wake.

Indoors I stay,
time to take comfort in my home,
lockdown time.
Hallelujah, time to pray,
for wellness in the world.

Our world is a delicate balance.
Forest desecrated with fire,
floods destroying homes.
Viruses run like wildfire.
Time for a new strategy.

Will Governments see the light.
Change the way it runs.
Communicate as one,
share knowledge and resources.
No longer at odds.

A new United Nations
Discussions on the world as one.
A togetherness,
For the greater good.
Humanity at its greatest.
