Three Men Came To The Dance

Three Men Came To The Dance

written by: Russell Colclough

Stands the tree on the meadow rise,
two thousand years the tree of life.

Rain and sunshine seeds they sow, without the tree,
the crops didn’t grow.

The angry tree, the raging tree, the quaking to survive,

maidens
were sent afar,
with smiles and charm to find three men,
that do others harm.

The dance beneath the fading sun,
the celebration
had begun

Three men came to find the maidens,
with hope of lust and fun.

The quaking tree,
the raging tree,
the men beside the tree.

The men no more, the sun and rain,
the crops grew tall again.

The following year, madains were sent afar,
and three men came to the dance.
