Valentine’s Day Reflections:
Seeking a Partner

On a quest for a partner,
I explored every avenue,
both near and far.
I tripped over internet dates
and misses over a suitor.
Valentine’s Day might turn the tide;
might be a guide to loneliness,
as it’s early February,
and we’re snowed in together.
Andrew grew up in the Evergreen State. He fell in love with writing short stories and poems in high school. He found writing cathartic through his experience in foster care. After high school, he served three years in the army. Andrew was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, as a paratrooper, and the fragility of life strengthened his faith in God. After his service, he returned to Washington and graduated with a degree in general studies. He nearly completed a master's degree. Among other things, Andrew is an avid runner, a self-published writer, and a pop-punk music enthusiast.
