Weekend Warfare

Weekend Warfare

Each and every weekend
Locales both far and wide
Missions are undertaken
Targets identified
Once they’re in the crosshairs
There’s one last careful scan
Commandos strategize
Then set out on their plan
When they reach their target
They fight with all their might
Hoping that their skill set
Sees them through the night
Some are quite successful
While others burst in flame
Shot down by their target
They have no one to blame
Bloodied and dejected
They march back, hear a jeer
You never stood a chance
Just sit and drink your beer
