Why Do I Cry?

Oh! You cry to release your pain
that to me is such a platitude!
I cry to reveal my love for you
and not just to complain
I cry when this world’s beauty overflows
tantalizes my soul and every vein
I cry when the sheer innocence on a child’s face
rinses off my futile vain
I cry when a real human
manifests motherly affection without any price
I cry when the burning desire in your eyes
sets my body aflame
I cry in joy and ecstasy too
and not just for reasons plain!
I cry not when I feel weak
but when I have played strong for too long!
I am constantly looking for music in the mundane as I believe that “the world has music for those who listen.” A self – confessed people’s person, I love to read and write poetry that speaks mostly about human mind. An avid traveler & explorer, visited around 25 countries across different continents for leisure. Worked as an Assistant Professor in Computer Science in a reputed college in Punjab, India and now working as a Personality development trainer with a Bangalore based company. Published more than 30 middles in newspapers of national repute and three books on poetry and prose - “Confessions of a Happy Woman”, Notionpress 2017, "The Quirky Wallflower and the Silent Bumblebee", Authorpress 2020, "The Solitary Sunflower in my Bageecha”, Authorpress 2021.
