Wings of paper

Wings of Paper

written by: Bipul Banerjee

I took the flight on borrowed wings of paper
Weight of the past pulling me down
Plunged into the waters of expectations
The wings washed away
Diving deep, I learned to touch the rock bottom
Grasping for breath
Pushing self to the surface
No wounds
No scars
As the superficial attachments done away
Emerging as a better diver than a flyer
For it’s my own strength that I could rely
So, when pushed deep down
Remember
Whatever borrowed has to be returned
It’s your own muscle that will drive you strong
