Woman, a poem by Carmen Frech Oliveri at Spillwords.com

Woman

Woman

written by: Carmen Frech Oliveri

I held his hand over the grove,
piano fingers
tracing the skin.

Major rhymes between silks;
in the air.

Eyelashes on the lips,
and appetizing
musical notes.

Muse,
confectionery,
obtuse weapon.

I want to be
the naked
universe.

A woman.

Pigeons
Feathers,
and your arms,
peeking
in my torso.

The sigh
that you exhale
when you finish
my words.

That you long to
hold me.
