NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:
My Texas grandparents used to tell us kids about a creature named Yellow Eyes that lived in their farmhouse attic. As an adult, I figured it was a clever tale to keep the grandkids off the stairwell. Nonetheless, I still wonder what was up there.
