Sunday morning
as I slept
I was awoken
by a trill
The sweet
harmonious
song
of dawn
Notes of music
crystalline
floated on
the morning breeze
I caught a glimpse
from where I lay
2 lovely songbirds
on my sill
They tweeted
their melodious tunes
from tiny beaks
vibrating throats
Nature’s call
sweet serenade
sounds of music
fill the world
