Black Stone

Black Stone

written by: Musa M Dukuly

Naked black woman,
Through your chambers,
The blood of the Nile flows

Black woman,
You’re the source of energy in Africa.
You’re the shining star,
That shines bright,
When the night falls.

Black woman
At dawn, you lightened the earth,
With your sunlight.
You give carbon dioxide to plants.
Give oxygen, to your animals.

Black woman,
Without you there will be no life to live.
No peace to enjoy,
No ease for ourselves,
From the harsh climate.
