Wanderings

of soul
unguarded in flesh-
shirking shadow
drenched in sun.

I dig a hole
and let the camera sink-
excavated sand
lingers on the rim
like the days
over the lens.

Far rumblings
of children’s play,
men’s chaffer-
chirping of a silver throated robin
in a blue-black heaven,
I seek my dwellings
under the advancing dusk.
