Rainbow in a Glass Bowl

It was not quite dawn yet.
Sun stumbled through
what remained of leaves
on the blue gum eucalyptus tree.
Squares, helixes and circles
sprouted on the wall
amid the cups shelved in a row.
Tillandsia looked up
reassuring like a rainbow
rising from the glass bowl.
Rainforest red spread
into pores of unknown,
the grey moss remained curled
rendering memory void.
