Good Ole Days

Good Ole Days

written by: Tamara Yancosky

Each generation
has tragedies to face;
drudging through countless
battlefields
is a universal case.

The fusing of pleasure and misery
keeps us on our toes
to remain vigilant and sober
while weathering life’s
storminess and woes.

Still, each drawn breath deserves
the mindfulness of praise
because someday we will crave
these hours, too,
saying, “remember the good ole days?”
