The Sunflowers

The Sunflowers

written by: Deepti Shakya

I passed through a village,
Suddenly I saw a crowd in my passage.
A large number of sunflowers,
Moving and dancing in the airs.

They were spread in the countless line,
Just like the stars that have a yellow shine.
Yeah! It was not a dream,
But it looked like a floral-stream.

Oh! I saw at a glance,
Waving their heads with joyful dance.
Their golden faces were starting to shine into my sight,
Just like a blossoming delight.

When the sun rays kissed each yellow flower,
They blushed bright with happiness and sunshine shower.
Looking at the sun, they were smiling,
This beautiful sight made my eyes sparkling.
