The wonders of nature, the Spirit realms, slices of the hardships of life in all areas of the world, the beautiful and traumatic views through the eyes of children and, when my muse dictates, death and the dark side.

A tough one, if I could be allowed two….Rose(s) and Summerland (the Spirit Realm).

 

Flaming scarlet explosions,

born of Summerland,

misted incense of orange Jasmine…

a Rose untarnished

hazily lays in its own fragrance,

curtsy’s to God’s golden eye.

Ill judgements, in all areas of life, based on ignorance, elitism and prejudice in its many forms…..plus Wasps and invasive Spiders!

I suffered an extremely deprived, abusive childhood and resulting chronic depression, plus debilitating physical problems in later life. At 59 I tried to start to writing down traumatic events from my life story as part of therapy. From an early age I was forced to create a self- protecting ‘survival world’ in my own imagination, which, since writing my first poem just three years ago, has become the fuel for creative works. A sanity saving outlet from my health restricted situation to express the great empathy I have for the child within us all and my own spirit as she tries to fly. When my joints allow I attempt to bake a cake between poems and am blessed with the gift of Spiritual Mediumship beyond the veil, but am not tied to any earthbound dogma.
