Stay
written by: Aarathy
The sky was blue
the clouds were white;
the trees were green
as they had been
for a while.
Yet her heart was blue
her blood was red
and oh the pain
it caused
was so intense.
She looked at them
bored of its sight
for they had remained
blue, white and green
for a while.
Lo behold!
She saw a pair of hands
waving, clapping;
and calling her.
To look at the sky and dream ahead;
to fly among the clouds light as air;
to climb the trees into the horizon.
She took those hands
for now it had changed.
Her sight, a little less
traumatizing than before.
She still holds those hands
that persuaded her to stay
rather than to leave no trace.
