Fractured Feast

written by: : Mighty Mousey

You'd have me dine
With peace within
A drumming heart
And raging soul;
Pray what have I
To offer him
But bitter bread
Still soaked in Toil;
And what have we
foes to discuss
But all the scars
That he made thus;
And to what end
Do we aspire:
Him the fuel
And I the fire.

I write poetry and have been doing so for some time. I share it occasionally and have an interest in doing so more often.
Mental health issues feature highly in my writing simply because writing about them is the only therapy that has proven particularly effective for me.
