LOVELORN

written by: Muntazir

The rain drops fall over my head,
Getting soaked slowly by the black bushy hair

And finally making their way
Through the long locks,
Dripping down from the ends
To the Earth.

I have an umbrella in hand,
It is Yellow, the colour of happiness
But my body is pale,
My eyes are grey and cheeks blanched.
I just carry it in the hand,
Never opening it ‘gainst the rain.
.
.

The rain has ceased, the clouds dissipated,
But the drops still drop from the ends…
