On A Warmer Tomorrow

On A Warmer Tomorrow

written by: Arlene Antoinette

Let me restrain my shadow
from engulfing you. I will no longer
block the warmth of the sun’s
rays from shining on your ice-cold
skin. If we must end, let me be the loser here,
then you may have it all. And maybe,
just maybe, one day you’ll share your
warmth with me again.
