Change
written by: Sherin Mary Zacharia
Age-old conventions
Things big and small
Blind practices
No true reasons
Nothing questioned nor contested.
Mind changes like water
To ice, frozen
With no response.
Then waits for a wind
To throw a sparkle of fire.
Music to some
A wolf’s howl to those who had
Found a full moon night
Most fearsome.
Can change go up and away
Boil, bubble, rise up
As vapour
Disappear
And fall-back crash
Flow off and
Disappear
Changes appear
Change and disappear
Changes changed many
Changed itself
Transformed
Became convention new
Constantly fearing a change.
