A New Constellation

A New Constellation

written by: Anne G

The Minutemen

militia strong

fought hard and beat

the British Crown

13 stars

on golden crown

a field of blue

on which they’d rest

13 stripes

of red and white

flew unfurled

upon a mast

Reminder of the blood

they’d shed

the Republic

for which it stands
