A New Year’s Eve

A New Year’s Eve

The countdown has begun,
Soon the bells will be rung,
The old year waved goodbye
The new one welcomed with a high

Failures and disappointments
Of the year gone by,
Forgotten and brushed away,
With an eye on tomorrow and the year to come.

The first day of a new year,
Brings dreams & hopes anew,
A fresh slate, a blank page,
A new journey starts today.

One day, your race will be run,
Your last year will be gone,
Dwell not on the past,
But face bravely the challenges to come,
And welcome the rewards of a year well done.
