A Potpourri of Statuses

A Potpourri of Statuses

Taming oneself with the vagaries of life
Trying hard to forget the routine strife
Undeniably flooded with the unmet needs
Unable to forgive and forgo the ruminating deeds
Are you becoming a pale blue dot
All set to slowly rot?
There’s a method in one’s trait
Steadily and emphatically one began to rate
In a mundane world of self-promotion
Beyond the page, there arises a novel notion
about name, place and person
duly attributed by the social
media statuses in unison
Do you really fail to place you on a high pedestal,
When everyone is busy shaping their peripheral citadel?
One may wander and wither in the feigning glory
Is it yet another creative shard of a story
that needs the photogenic filter
so that a real story will totally alter?
It’s time to think and rethink
A mind matters, a life matters
albeit they sink and float in the virtual waters…
It’s time to heal and peel off the pretentious soul
as no book of faces and insta chats can figure the real hole.
This is my lament to that lots
Who fail to project themselves to the world of winning slots
deciphered by sheer outward glow
It’s time to go and grow
far away from the maddening whatsapp crowds and glow
It’s time to know
to say a big No!
