A Star is Born

A star is born –
one every 4.3 seconds to be precise.
255 children born every minute around the world.
Every child, a bright and shiny new star,
full of potential and celestial brilliance.
Allowed to shine, exceptional!
Yet most, will have their light extinguished too soon during their short planetary lives.
Shooting stars that will disappear before they are ever noticed.
The culprits? War, attrition … Life.
So when you wish upon a star, wish you may, wish you might, make that newborn’s dreams come true.
