A Storm Is Coming

A Storm Is Coming

written by: Verona Jones

A storm is coming fast and furious
Clouds so dark and turbulent they race,
With summer wind they do keep pace
A storm is coming fast and furious.

Clouds so dark and turbulent they race,
Lightning flashes and thunder answers.
Emotions buried rise like tsunami dancers,
Clouds so dark and turbulent they race.

Lightning flashes and thunder answers,
Body responding to the coming storm.
Nature’s elements maelstrom swarm,
Lightning flashes and thunder answers.

In time with lightning’s golden flashes,
A storm is coming fast and furious.
On naked skin rain falls spurious,
In time with lightning’s golden flashes.

A storm is coming fast and furious,
Rages in the backdrop of thunder’s din.
I dance with the elements far from sin,
A storm is coming fast and furious.
