Black Swan

Black Swan

Blue pink is the sky.
The belt of Venus.
The swans a negative
against the winter sun.

The black swan elegant
in courtship dance, dance.
Centre stage on the canal
he hissed and grunted.

A courtship display.
Wedded for life
they are bonded.
White and black swan.

They arch their necks,
head down,
bottoms feathers flutter
above the waterline.

Feasting beneath the water.
Dance dance reflections
on the rippled water.
Mirrored Trees, herons, Ducks.
