Boundless

Boundless

written by: Ashley Sawyer

Sunlight seeps into the room
As the city cries its same song.
The breeze drifts and dances
Lies next to me softly.

The audience of the city
Dances in the familiar melody.
Every mundane and forced note
Repeatedly knocks on the door.

There is no outside.
There is no city in this room.
Just you and I
Reliving the same dream
Of you and I.

From pen to paper
You push me to the boundless ends of creativity
That is stolen from beyond the door.
It is our secret
That we have this great gift.
