Captain, a poem by Dickson Shreffler at Spillwords.com

Captain

Captain

written by: Dickson Shreffler

Twelve hours of nothingness
Marks this day like
Most every day
You were here
Where
Wasted time goes
Unclaimed unused
Is the river quiet or
Silent as we navigate
Life’s mysteries
The noises voices make
Repeat Repeat
I navigate nothing
A leaf in the current
Left to fend for itself
Is really the capitan
Of our fate
