Cosmic Confusion
written by: Leena Thampi
I am not from this planet,
An ancient soul,
Made of stardust,
Wandering in the universe,
wondering if I’m incomplete or whole.
Searching for an exit where real energies meet,
Without physical touch, where time and space greet.
Am I an amalgamation of art and science, or am I science itself?
I see the stars, I see the light, I see the darkness in between, I see your might.
I skim through the books, I learn more and more
How intricate the cosmos is and how high the shuttles soar.
How nebulae look like my eyes and how stars like to roar.
How deep is the sea, and where is the seafloor?
Like the fish, I swim in this knowledge, trying to explore
From the depths of the sea to the edge of space, searching for the right door to find what’s more,
The meaning between unknowns and what we lived for.
Maybe it’s just begun, and maybe it ends; regardless, let’s discover once more.
