Daylight Moon

Daylight Moon

A distant half daylight moon hangs eclipsed in a hungry late December sky;
Gazing heavenward in wonder and once again asking: how and why?

The ageless astrological battle with the fast fading winter sun is once again convincingly won;
Daybreak cleverly awaits its revealing time, when the secrets of the long dark night will come undone.
