Death is Beautiful

When a seed dies to become a sprout,
And the night dies to welcome the bright
When the candle dies to permeate light
And the pupa dies to become a beautiful fly
When barbarism dies with the invasion of civilization,
And wishes that die on reaching fruition,
When sorrow dies at the onset of delight
And tears die while laughter strides
When ignorance dies birthing wisdom
And anger dies embraced by intellection
When fear dies thwarted by bravery
And envy dies at the hands of serenity
When war is flushed by inexorable harmony
And egotism loses itself to profound humility
When apathy drowns in the pool of empathy,
And patriarchy is doused by equanimity,
DEATH is beautiful
I have done my post graduation in English literature and have a vast experience in teaching. I have been writing poems for the past five to six years. I am a member of several literary groups and have been regularly posting my poems. My works have been widely appreciated and have won several awards.
