Diamond Silence

Diamond Silence

Escaping. Traffic,
The city, and of course me,
Sweet peaceful quiet.

In this dry silence,
God roars his liquid whispers,
Loving like a nap.

Woke him from this dream,
Gives me a wink, I’m not fooled,
His name, coyote.

Shimmering my eyes,
What is this light, a mirage?
Leaves me shivering.

His shadow gliding,
Whispers without words we share,
Our diamond silence.
