Echoes of the Abyss

Echoes of the Abyss

written by: Christina Stewart

We’re tangled in a storm of our own making,
In a web of threads frayed by doubt.
Your trust is a cracked porcelain doll,
And I fear my love might shatter out.

I overanalyze each breath I take,
Haunted by the shadows that never fade.
You’re an enigma wrapped in twilight’s veil,
The love we chase, but it feels so frail.

I see the wreckage behind your gaze,
We’re ensnared in a cycle of olden pain.
We’re drifting apart, yet bound by chains,
Caught in a dance of a cruel refrain.

We’re battling phantoms, lost in the dark,
Reaching for the light with weary hearts.
We’re building walls but yearning for the dawn,
Hoping someday we’ll be reborn.
Let’s confront these shadows, close and tight,
Together we’ll mend and make it right.

We can find our way if we just hold on,
Face the fears that linger, till they’re gone.
Let’s shatter these chains and let love ignite,
We’ll find the courage to start anew tonight.

I push you away, though I grasp with all my might,
Believing you’d find peace if I’m out of sight.
We’re trapped in a maze of unspoken fear,
Searching for an exit that’s never near.

We’ll find the dawn beyond this night,
Hand in hand, we’ll face the light.
Together we’ll heal, together we’ll strive,
Finding our way to where hope can thrive.
