Enigma
written by: Taz Punjabi
The world turns and turns without a thought as to why it yearns
The light brings it happiness every day and yet it says why not 24/7?
Are we ever happy, yearning always for what we have not
As if the sun searching for a spot, always there, invisible not
An endless enigma we try to be, to what purpose? To fulfill what decree?
A groan and a grunt, where a sigh should be
An enigma we pose to any intellect, humans, you and me
Rattling the logic of a mind concerned, for the world shall see
An embattled organism, such are we
At a loss for harmony
Enabling pain, enabling misery
Such are we, an enigma…for all to see
