Era of War

In warzones,
Soldiers bleed to death
Separated from their kith and kin
They are tortured and suffer
Until they feel ill within
What’s the point of war
When it leads to multiple deaths
And prisoners of war
Death of civilians;
Destruction of property
Large scale disasters
Orchestrated by humankind
Nobody wins. Nobody gains
Babies are killed
Women are maimed
Is this what victory looks like
Please prevent their plight.
