Faces

Faces

written by: Shilpa Dias

Everywhere I look, I see faces
Food, walls, clouds, nature…so many traces
Of perhaps lives that were lived and got framed for eternity
Smiles, stares, sadness, wonder all captured in ubiquity

So folks who can see another face where no one else can
Are willing to meet a happy soul or a bogeyman
And that takes a special kind of power to take a moment and spot
To remember the ones gone forever, showing up in our thought
