Fall in Love

I’ve searched and searched
With no success
I’ve made my whole life
Such a mess.
Don’t make the same mistake twice
But you end up doing it and pay the price
You say I’ll never do that again
Next thing you know here you are without your friend
But as you dig you see a light
This time may work
I think it might.
Finding love takes a consuming heart
One that quickly heals after being torn apart.
You’ll find that love if that’s your goal
You’ll look in their eyes and and feel love in your soul
I'm a 50 year old father of 6 boys and a husband to a amazing wife. I live in West Portsmouth Ohio. I enjoy reading poetry and writing how I feel down into poetic form. So that I can let go of whatever is troubling me.
